How We Review
Every review on The Inspect Aspect is built on a transparent, repeatable process. We label how each product was evaluated, score against fixed weighted criteria, and date every update.
Scoring criteria
| Criterion | Weight | What it measures |
|---|---|---|
| Performance | 30% | Real-world capability against the product’s core job. |
| Value | 25% | Price-to-capability versus direct alternatives. |
| Durability | 20% | Build quality, materials, warranty, long-term reliability signals. |
| Usability | 15% | Setup, daily ergonomics, learning curve. |
| Buyer feedback | 10% | Patterns across verified-owner reviews at scale. |
Testing tiers
Each review is labeled with how it was evaluated. We never claim hands-on testing we didn't do.
- Hands-on tested: We physically evaluated the unit. These reviews include original photos, notes, or measurements.
- Research-based review: Built from manufacturer documentation, expert comparisons, and verified-owner feedback. Not hands-on tested.
- Buyer-feedback synthesis: Primarily an analysis of large-scale verified-owner feedback and specifications.
Keeping reviews current
We revisit reviews when products change, prices shift, or better alternatives appear. Each review shows its last-updated date.
